Durban’s local DJ Sithelo Shozi is not backing down in her quest for justice. This follows the allegations of abuse she made against the father of her children, Andile Mpisane.
As the month of August begins, the DJ shared on her Instagram stories that she will dedicate this Women’s Month to raising awareness of gender-based violence (GBV).
She also revealed that she will be working with various organisations, including Women for Change SA, which works with victims of domestic abuse.
A well-known visual creative designed a thought-provoking image of Sithelo. It shows that the personality is in an abused state. There is a hand covering her mouth and several others around her head.
It is often said that a picture is worth a thousand words. This is what her post depicts, including the caption where she just put a period. Let the image do all the talking.
In recent weeks, Shozi broke her silence and came forward with strong allegations of abuse against the Royal AM chairman and her ex-partner, Mpisane. With whom he shares daughters Flo and Coco.
The sensitive case landed Mpisane and his wealthy mother, Shauwn Mkhize, trending on Twitter as the public weighed in. Mkhize recently issued a statement rejecting the strong allegations leveled against her son.

Shozi also shared a petition on Change.Org to help justice prevail for her in obtaining a protection order against Mpisane. The petition reads as follows:
“I applied for a protection order against the father of my children. The hearing for the granting of a final protection order against him will be heard at the Point Waterfront Magistrates’ Court on 31 October 2022.”
Sithelo’s petition #ISstandWithSithelo received 18,563 signatures within hours with a goal of 25,000. She may not be in control of all the events that happen to her, but she can choose not to be diminished by them!
