crazy ball – Real Madrid have received a major boost in their plans to sign Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz, admitting he is ready to join on a free in next year’s transfer window.
Spanish media reported, Central DefenceFabian Ruiz has ambitions to move to the Bernabeu with the Bosman system in the summer transfer market of 2023. While the La Liga champions are also looking to bring in the Spanish midfielder as a long-term replacement for Luka Modric.
Fabian Ruiz has established himself as one of the best midfielders in Serie A since joining Napoli from Real Betis in July 2018. Ruiz has also established his career in the national team and hopes to leave for Qatar later this year.
The 26-year-old has played 166 times for Napoli so far, collecting 22 goals and 15 assists. But, as reported The Hard Tackle, Ruiz faces an uncertain future at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium after entering the final year of his contract with the Partenopei. This situation has attracted the attention of a number of top European clubs, including Real Madrid.
Madrid themselves have had a long look at Ruiz who has even been on their radar for the last few years. But the Spanish giants never followed through on that interest as they had Modric and Toni Kroos who never showed any signs of decline but instead went from strength to strength despite both being over 30 years old.
However, Modric turns 37 next month and is believed to be nearing the final days of his career as a professional footballer. Moreover, previously circulated news also mentioned that Kroos could hang up his boots in the not-too-distant future, so Los Blancos should prepare for the succession of the two next year.
It was recently reported that Ruiz wants to return to Spain after leaving Napoli, while he has also been linked with interest from several English clubs. But the Spain international has nevertheless decided to join the Spanish club, with Real Madrid hoping he will be his next port of call.
The 26-year-old wants to move to the Bernabeu with the Bosman system in the summer of 2023, and it fits perfectly with Real Madrid’s plans. However, it will be interesting to see if there are other interested clubs trying to steal it from El Real’s grasp.
