As the news revealed SonSport yesterday it The Magpies made the English midfielder their main transfer target, but their offer of IDR 726 billion was flatly rejected by Leicester City, who wanted at least IDR 1.1 trillion for their valuable asset.

According to the latest news revealed by Luke Edwards from Daily BBC, Newcastle United still haven’t given up on the deal and are preparing to increase their IDR 907 billion bid for James Maddison.

But transfer watchdog Dean Jones claims St James’ Park is not a favorite destination for the 25-year-old midfielder, saying Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are his preferred destinations if he has to leave Leicester City.

He told The Done Deal Show, “Maddison had an approach from Newcastle. The offer Newcastle made to Leicester was not enough, and they will have to decide whether or not to bid again. However, I see no sign that Maddison actually wants to join Newcastle.”

“From what I’ve heard, Maddison wants to join Tottenham or Arsenal. If he were to leave Leicester, one of the two would have to make an offer. That’s the latest I’ve heard.”

James Maddison, who has two years left on his contract at the King Power Stadium, has been a key player for Brendan Rodgers’ side since arriving from Norwich City for IDR 434 billion in 2018. He also helped the club to the FA Cup to win and Community Shield.
