screen frenzy can exclusively present a first look at the trailer of the upcoming movie Bulletproof, which will hit theaters August 19, On Demand and digitally through Lionsgate before hitting Blu-ray September 27. The action thriller is a heart-pounding adventure directed by James C. Clayton as a feature film debut. Clayton not only co-wrote the project, but also starred in it with Vinnie Jones (Law & Order: Organized Crime, jerking).

Jones plays Temple, a sadistic mob boss whose pregnant wife Mia (played by Lina Lecompte, Motherland: Fort Salem) goes missing after a thief (played by Clayton) stole millions of his money from a drug hideout. But to keep the public from thinking Temple is the hero, “the thief” (as he’s known to this day) discovers Mia locked up in his getaway car, and discovers she’s also trying to escape her husband. But Temple won’t let go of his money or his unborn child so easily, so the thief and Mia must team up to take him down — or at least get out safe and sound.

Other recent releases distributed by Lionsgate this year include the apocalyptic moonfall from filmmaker Roland Emmerich, and the self-assured Nic Cage comedy adventure The unbearable weight of enormous talent. Upcoming releases to watch out for are val on August 12 and Kevin Smith’s clerks III on Sept 13. Bulletproof has a run time of 92 minutes and is rated R for violence.
