Musician Taylor Swift has been accused of racking up a serious number of airline miles on her private jet, which soon got heat from several environmental advocates.

Digital Marketing Agency Garden ranked the “All Too Well” singer, 32, No. 1 on a list of the worst “celebrity” [carbon dioxide emissions] perpetrators” in a study published Friday, July 29. Yard, who collected data from the CelebJets Twitter account claimed that Swift’s jet had made at least 170 flights since January — from about 22,923 minutes in the air. (The social media account often follows celebrity jets and flight plans.)

“Taylor’s jet has an average flight time of just 80 minutes and an average of 139.36 miles per flight,” the study claimed. “Her total flight emissions for the year are 8,293.54 tons, or 1,184.8 times more than the average person’s total annual emissions. Taylor’s shortest recorded flight of 2022 was just 36 minutes, from Missouri to Nashville.

While the alleged results of the study received flak from environmentalists, Swift has since spoken out about the allegations.

“Taylor’s jet is regularly lent to other individuals,” a Pennsylvania resident said e! News in a statement dated Saturday, July 30. “It is plainly wrong to attribute most or all of these trips to her.”

Hours earlier on Saturday, Celeb Jets reported that Swift’s plane landed in Nashville after a flight of nearly two hours. The Twitter account claimed the flight used about 752 gallons of fuel and 8 tons of CO2 emissions.

The Grammy winner — who is currently dating an actor Joe Alwyn — made her grand return to the stage earlier this month.

“I haven’t been on stage in a long time,” Swift told those attending Haim’s July concert in London. “It’s fun. It is very nice. But, you know, when I heard my girls were playing in London at the O2 [Arena], I thought: ‘I have to see that.’ And it seems there are about 20,000 other people who thought so too.”

The Valentine’s Day actress then surprised concertgoers while duet with friends Danielle, Este and Alana Haim for a remixed version of her 2008 hit ‘Love Story’. Swift, who enlisted the musical trio for her song “No Body, No Crime” – hasn’t been on her own tour since 2018, when she was on the road to advertising to make for Reputation. She later released her Beloved, Folklore, Evermore, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s version) albums.
