A Twitter post from developer Ninja theory shows off the process of creating location-accurate bird droppings in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. The video shows a cliff buzzing with birds, which realistically would be covered in the feces of the feathered creatures. Apparently using reference material, Ninja Theory is able to achieve a high level of realism by scattering white bird droppings over the foggy view. This process seems to be much faster thanks to deep dev tools, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 will be much more compelling thanks to the stool.

The upcoming sequel will build on Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice’s already impressive graphics and battles in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is also expected to be highly endorsed. While the first game was highly praised for its presentation and story, it did receive criticism for its combat system. Many believed that the struggle in hellblade was simplistic and repetitive, with a lack of hostile variety exacerbating these problems. Ninja Theory has apparently addressed these concerns in Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2featuring a combat training video with more intense moves and brutal animations.

The graphics in Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice were incredibly impressive, especially for an indie game, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 looks even more photo-realistic. Small environmental details, such as layers of bird droppings on a misty cliff, will add an extra layer of immersion to the upcoming sequel.
