Supporters of Premier League outfit Arsenal have taken to social media in numbers on Thursday, to express concern over ongoings on the red half of Manchester.
Rangnick announced
Recent hours have of course seen Manchester United, as so often proves the case, take their place front and centre in the media chatter.
This comes with those in a position of power at Old Trafford having followed up on the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with an altogether impressive coup.
As per a whole host of reliable sources, the Red Devils have struck a deal with German tactician and boardroom savant Ralf Rangnick, to take up the reins at the club moving forward.
The 63-year-old, currently overseeing ongoings at Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow, is set to see out the season on the touchline, before taking on a consultancy role through 2024:
EXCLUSIVE: Man Utd reach agreement with Ralf Rangnick to become interim manager. 6mnth contract then 2yr consultancy. Deal subject to Lokomotiv Moscow approval. Work permit process prevents 63yo leading #MUFC v Chelsea. W/ @lauriewhitwell @TheAthleticUK https://t.co/wjQyiRzfeE

‘The football gods hate us’
Of course, on the back of word emerging regarding Rangnick’s imminent arrival, focus has since quickly shifted towards when exactly the German is set to oversee his first fixture in the United dugout.
Unfortunately for the Red Devils faithful, they will need to remain patient beyond this weekend, with Michael Carrick primed to continue on the bench for the club’s Premier League showdown with Chelsea.
Their next outing, however, at home to Arsenal next Thursday, looks highly likely to be overseen by Rangnick.
And, if the latest word spreading across social media is anything to go by, then, evidently, one set of supporters who have been left altogether concerned by such a timeline are those of a Gunners persuasion:
Ralf Rangnick. What an appointment by United. His first game will be against us next week. Now I’m actually scared of them.

Ralf Rangnick is an amazing appointment and of course, his first game will be against us. The deal makes far too much sense for United

So Rangnick’s first game in charge will be at home against us, we can chalk that up as a loss then

Phenomenal decision by Utd. Rangnick is most definitely a long term appointment and was probably promised that DOF role at the end of the season. Under his guidance that club could really go places. Man Utd finally starting to look serious again icl.
