Recently chatting with Variety, Kravitz said she has “seen a little” of The Batman, so she has a good idea of what the movie will be like. She naturally can’t say anything too specific, but she stressed how excellent Robert Pattinson is for the part of Batman, calling him “perfect” in the role. Kravitz also commends director Matt Reeves, recognizing his passion he has for the project and the characters they’re all trying to bring to life in The Batman.

“Rob is perfect for this role. He was incredible. His transformation was out of this world. [Director] Matt Reeves has a lot of heart, and he cares so much for these characters. I’m just very excited for him to be able to go on vacation because he deserves it. I hope the fans love it because we put a lot of work into this.”

Zoë Kravitz will play one of many supervillains featured in The Batman, although she always seems to walk the line between good and evil, often siding with Batman when he really needs hr help. She joins other villain actors Paul Dano as Riddler, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Colin Farrell as Oswald “Penguin” Cobblepot, who’s set to be given his own spinoff series on HBO Max. There are also rumors of Barry Keoghan playing an iconic villain, though that’s unconfirmed.

Assisting Robert Pattinson’s Batman in The Batman are Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. The cast also includes Peter Sarsgaard, Jayme Lawson, Alex Ferns, Gil Perz-Abraham, and twins Charlie and Max Carver. The story is set in a standalone universe with no connections to any previous movies as Warner Bros. moves forward with plans to develop multiple Batman stories on the big screen simultaneously.

For his part, Wright promises that Pattinson’s Batman is “badass.” The actor told Entertainment Tonight, “Robert is gonna do his thing, and we were working within a Matt Reeves vision, so you know, Robert is doing what Robert does and it’s gonna be pretty badass I think. I loved working with him, I love his take and his energy and the way that he kind of brought different levels to different parts of the story. And we work off of one another.”

Matt Reeves directed The Batman using a screenplay co-written with Peter Craig. The movie will be released in theaters on March 4, 2022, following many significant delays. This news comes to us from Variety.
