With that said, there are two games left to book a place in Qatar and of course the Gli Azzurri hope the aforementioned three Brazilians can qualify to play for Italy.
The FIGC is working to complete the necessary documentation to possibly make the three new signings available to Roberto Mancini ahead of next year’s game.
After the Federal Council, journalists then asked FIGC President Gabriele Gravina about Joao Pedro’s situation, with the 68-year-old also revealing that two other players would be naturalized.
“The Club Italia office is interested in all the players who can be called up,” Gravina said as reported by TWM.
“They are working in three positions and are doing well. We finish the formal part, then it’s up to the technicians whether to call them or not. ”
The three players in question are Brazilians Joao Pedro, Ibanez and Luiz Felipe, all of whom play regularly in Serie A.
