The Indonesian U-18 national team won with a score of 4-0. The goals for the Indonesian national team were scored by Ronaldo Kwateh (two goals), Ricky Pratama (1 goal), and an own goal from an opposing player.

The slick performance of the Garuda Nusantara squad also received appreciation from coach Shin Tae-yong.

The South Korean coach assessed that the final completion of the Indonesian U-18 national team players was very good.

“Because the players are very good in terms of performance, the finishing is also very good, so I want to praise the players,” said Shin Tae-yong, after the match against Alanyaspor U-18.

“The players were looking for a lot of space and the finishing was also good. If it continues like this in the future, Indonesian football will definitely be more advanced,” he added.

This match only lasted 50 minutes. Both teams agreed to stop the match due to heavy rain and cold weather.

This is actually quite unfortunate for coach Shin Tae-yong. He assessed that the performance of the Indonesian U-18 national team would be more tested if the match lasted for 90 minutes.

However, because the Alanyaspor U-18 coaching team wanted the match to be stopped, Shin Tae-yong agreed.

According to Shin Tae-yong, Alanyaspor wants to maintain the physical condition of the players to face matches in the league.

“Actually it was better until the end of the match (90 minutes), but because of the heavy rain, we inevitably had to end the match,” said Shin Tae-yong.

“It’s a shame, but Alanyaspor is asking for approval to stop this match because they have an important game in the league in the next two days,” he added.

Meanwhile, even though the Indonesian U-18 national team has only undergone a training camp in Turkey for a few days, he can see positive and encouraging team developments.

In this training camp, the 52-year-old coach emphasized communication between lines and between players, passing followed by player movement, and body building.

Especially in terms of passing, Shin Tae-yong not only seeks to improve accuracy, but also strength.

The Garuda Nusantara squad must pass harder so that the ball does not stop in the middle of the road.

This is very likely to happen because the condition of the grass in the training center is rather thick. If you lack power, the bait will be easily cut off by the opponent.

“It’s only been a few days of undergoing TC here. There are several things that I emphasize, namely communication, moving passing, and body shaping. Everything is very good,” said Shin Tae-yong.
