Dream – Singapore officially opens the border with Indonesia with the Vaccine Travel Lane (VTL) scheme starting November 22, 2021. Meanwhile, Indonesian travelers who have been fully vaccinated can enter Singapore without quarantine starting November 29, 2021.

Executive Director Southeast Asia, Singapore Tourism Board (STB), John Gregory Conceicao, said Singapore had handled Covid-19 with strict safety and hygiene standards. Now, Singapore is heading for a new normal by coexisting with Covid-19 without strict restrictions.

“The VTL scheme is part of the Singapore Government’s plan to gradually reopen the border and with Singapore’s high vaccination rates, it is very possible to welcome tourists back,” Conceicao said in a written statement.

He continued this to be a good start for the tourism industry. He also hopes that this VTL scheme with a major market like Indonesia can bring many positive impacts that are needed for the revival of the tourism business in Singapore.

“We are sure that the Indonesian people who yearn for vacation are also impatient to be able to visit Singapore again in the near future,” he said.
