Arsenal have reportedly allowed Mohamed Elneny to leave the club for free in the January transfer window.
The 29-year-old footballer’s contract will expire in June 2022. From various reports, between the player and the club agreed not to renew his tenure at the Emirates Stadium.
As a result Mohamed Elneny could leave Arsenal sooner and early next year he will leave the football club based in North London. However, players in midfield positions will not be unemployed because there are already clubs who want to use their services.
Reported by olegh The Mirror, the Premier League’s top teams have reached an agreement by allowing Elneny to leave the club early for free. The report explains that he will continue his football career in Turkey and will strengthen Galatasaray.
In addition to his contract which will expire soon, he can leave sooner because under Mikel Arteta’s tutelage for the Premier League competition this season, his playing time is also limited. Mohamed Elneny has only played in two games for Arsenal against Manchester City and Watford. Even against the Hornets only appeared four minutes.
Thus, Elneny has only played in 4 matches in all competitions in the 2021/22 season. 2 of them in the English League Cup. While his achievements with the Gunners are winning 1 FA Cup trophy and 2 Community Shields.
Leaving Arsenal and continuing his football career to Galatasaray will not make it difficult for Mohamed Elneny to adapt. The reason is, in the 2019/2020 competition, Meriam London was loaned to Besiktas. Interestingly, during his loan spell he also managed to score goals and provide assists in the Turkish League.
