Slipping in the Holloway-Rodriguez match, McGregor hints at returning to fight?

NBCNEWS, Mixed martial arts champion from the Republic of Ireland, Conor McGregor, seems to be itching to get back into the fighting arena. He hinted at this through a tweet related to the UFC featherweight fight between Max Holloway and Yair Rodriguez.

McGregor uploaded an edited video in which he appears to be inside the Octagon just as Max Holloway is in the limelight. This video then led to speculation that McGregor wanted to return to face Holloway.

The two UFC stars had previously faced off at Fight Night 26 which took place on August 18, 2013. In that fight, McGregor came out victorious by unanimous decision from the jury.

The UFC Vegas 42 fight itself ended with Holloway’s absolute victory (49-46, 48-47, 48-47) over Rodriguez. Through the interview after the fight, blessed also talked a bit about McGregor where he revealed that he was ready to fight again with the UFC superstar.

“I’m on Conor McGregor’s shortlist,” said Holloway. McGregor is currently still recovering after the fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 which caused his ankle to fracture.

The rematch between these two fighters needs to be awaited, Conor McGregor certainly wants to come back soon and improve his career after suffering three defeats from his four matches in the UFC. On the one hand, Max Holloway also wants to avenge his defeat to The Notorious in 2013.[]
