Not kidding, Golkar’s interest in accommodating Ganjar in the 2024 presidential election was conveyed directly by the Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar DPP, Nurdin Halid.

In response, the Secretary General of the DPP PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto considered Nurdin’s statement a signal of desperation.

But he claimed, of course, Ganjar as a PDIP cadre was never attracted to temptations from other parties.

“A signal of desperation after repeatedly persuading Bung Ganjar Pranowo, but Bung Ganjar was never interested,” Hasto said in his statement, quoting Sindo on Tuesday, November 16, 2021.

PDI-P cadres have good quality, that’s why other political parties look at them!

Hasto then quipped and appealed to political parties to produce candidate leaders from their own cadre process. Not the result of hijacking other party cadres, as Nurdin tried to do with Ganjar.

Nurdin’s statement is an open form of temptation that often comes to PDIP cadres.

He also assessed that Ganjar had succeeded in showing his consistent attitude to choosing to work to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic rather than thinking about the 2024 presidential election.

Furthermore, Hasto is actually not surprised if there are other political parties who are interested in PDIP cadres. This proves that PDIP cadres do have quality.

“It is undeniable that PDIP cadres are indeed qualified because they are educated to be the best candidates for national leaders. Thus, it attracts a lot of attention for other parties to win,” he said.

Loyalty of cadres is tested

Hasto added that such a temptation is actually a leadership test for PDIP cadres like Ganjar.

However, the ability to resist the temptation of power will actually show the extent of the maturity of the mentality, discipline, and loyalty concerned.

“This is where the loyalty and dedication of every cadre will be tested. The results of the exam will determine the character of a person’s leadership, whether he will attend as a cadre loyal to the party’s policy line or be tempted by the persuasion of power,” he added.
