Persib Bandung will meet Persija Jakarta when the third series of BRI Liga 1 2021/2022 begins. The two teams will face off at the Manahan Stadium, Solo, on November 20, 2021.
The clash between Persib Bandung and Persija Jakarta will be the most awaited match for Indonesian football lovers. This duel is always hot because it presents an interesting story, both on and off the field.
Viking Persib Club frontman, Dadan Gareng, admitted that he could not wait for the grand party. He predicts the match between the two teams will be fierce because it is full of prestige.
He also has high hopes that Persib can continue the positive trend in the BRI Liga 1 2021/2022. Positive results will certainly make Febri Hariyadi et al. more motivated.
“So you can lose to other teams, as long as you don’t come from Persija,” said Dadan when contacted by Bola.com, Friday (11/12/2021).
“The consequence is knowing this is a game full of rivalry. It’s different from other matches, what’s the atmosphere like,” continued the Persib Bandung fan.
Dadan said Persib Bandung currently has good provisions to face the match later. The Maung Bandung squad successfully wiped out all matches in the second series of BRI Liga 1 2021/2022 with a win.
Persib is able to gain 15 points from five matches. This achievement has now made Persib ranked second in the BRI Liga 1 2021/2022 standings with 25 points.
“I am very optimistic because Persib has good capital. The mentality of the players is also good. Hopefully this positive trend can continue,” said Dadan.
Dadan also hopes that Achmad Jufriyanto can recover from his injury. The presence of the 34-year-old player is very important because Persib Bandung is certain to lose Victor Igbonefo.
The naturalized defender must miss the match later because he received a call from the Indonesian national team. Igbonefo fulfills Team Garuda’s call with his teammate who is also a naturalized player, Victor Igbonefo.
“Hopefully Jupe can recover. Its position is very central. If Jupe is not there, he’s also worried at the back,” he said.
